The Nigeria national football team is looking forward to this match that will start soon, they are seeking to be at the top of Group C of the FIFA World Cup African qualifier after the match versus Liberia today.

The Super Eagles are currently on top of the group with 9 points from 4 matches, while the Lone Stars of Liberia have been able to gather three points from 4 games in the FIFA World Cup Qualifier.

A win against Liberia today could just be enough for the three-time AFCON winners to advance to the final phase of the African qualifiers, if Cape Verde, who occupy the 2nd position on the group with 7 points, drop points when they play against Central African Republic in the other fixture.

NOTE: Nigeria has never beaten Liberia away from home in a qualifying match.
